You can find us over at A3/29 on Chembur Sahar Road. Our office is a bit of a working space, usually filled with stone samples and a bit of dust. Granite is heavy stuff, and a lot of our day is spent moving slabs or checking their quality. We deal with all sorts of stone that people use for their kitchens or floors. It’s definitely not a fancy showroom. It’s just a practical place where we handle the export side of things. We spend a lot of time on the telephone or looking over the slabs to make sure they are okay. Sometimes the natural patterns in the stone don't look exactly like what a customer saw in a photo, so we have to explain that no two pieces of granite are ever the same. The road outside gets very busy and dusty with all the trucks going past. We have been working out of this Chembur location for a while now. Dealing with exports means there is always a lot of paperwork to fill out. Sometimes the printer gives us trouble right when we are in a hurry. It’s just a few of us here doing the work. We know the regular truck drivers and the guys who work in the yards. The coffee we make in the office is just okay, nothing to brag about. We work long hours when a big shipment needs to go out. Granite is a tough business, but we just keep at it and get the slabs moved on time.
