Prem Krishan Sood

The office is located on the second floor of Naju Mansion in Colaba. It’s an old building, the kind where the wooden stairs creak a little when you walk up. Being in Mumbai, it’s always a bit of a rush outside, but up here things move at a different pace. Prem Krishan Sood has been here for quite some time now. We aren't a big corporation with fancy lobbies. It’s mostly just desks piled with files and the sound of a typewriter or a printer going off now and then. Sometimes the windows get a bit grimy from the city air, but we get a decent breeze if we leave them open. We deal with various bits of business and paperwork for people who drop by. Most of our visitors are regulars who know exactly where to find us in the mansion. The second floor isn't too high of a climb, but on a hot afternoon, you definitely feel it. We have a small kettle for making tea during the breaks. It’s a simple setup. We don't use big marketing slogans or anything like that. We just focus on getting the daily tasks done and helping out the people who come to see us. It’s a practical way to run things. The neighbors in the building are mostly other small offices or families who have lived here forever. It’s a real part of old Colaba life.
