I’m based out of Mulund Heritage Apartment, specifically in unit 3E. It’s a residential building, so it doesn’t really feel like a typical office. I’ve lived and worked in Mulund for a long time, and I like the quietness of this particular building compared to the main roads. Most of the time, I’m just here at my desk handling my daily tasks. Sometimes people get confused finding the right wing, so I usually have to tell them to look for the main gate and then come up. It’s a comfortable space with a decent view of the trees outside. I don’t have a big staff or a receptionist; it’s mostly just me taking calls and meeting people who have appointments. The neighborhood is friendly, and I often run into neighbors in the hallway. We talk about the weather or the society meetings. My office setup is pretty basic—a couple of chairs, a computer, and a lot of books and papers. I’ve never seen the need for a fancy shopfront on the street. Doing things from an apartment feels more personal and less rushed. I can take my time with each person who visits. Mulund has a nice vibe to it, not as chaotic as some other parts of Mumbai, and being here in Heritage Apartment suits the way I like to work. It’s just a regular place where I get my job done. I usually make my own tea in the small kitchen here during the afternoon break.
