Pragathi Swadeshi Producer Company Ltd. is found inside the Bashir Khan Estate in Andheri East. This is a very busy industrial area, so there is constant noise and movement around us all day long. We have a functional space here where we manage the production side of our work. It is a bit of a gritty environment, but that is common for these kinds of industrial estates. We have been in this spot for several years now and have grown used to the surroundings. Our office is just a small area that we partitioned off from the main workspace so we can hear ourselves talk. You can always hear the sounds of other businesses working nearby. We do not have polished floors or any expensive decorations. Everything here is built for work and nothing else. We focus on getting our products made and sent out to the people who are waiting for them. There is a lot of talking to different producers, so the phones never really stop ringing. We do not have a corporate structure with bosses in suits. Most of us just do whatever needs to be done at the time, whether that is paperwork or moving heavy loads. Andheri East is a very fast-paced place to be, but we have made a good home for ourselves at Bashir Khan Estate. We just keep working hard.
