My office is situated in Ghatkopar East, specifically on the first floor of the Satyam Shopping Centre. If you walk into the mall, just head up to B4. It is a familiar spot for many people who live around here because the shopping centre has been a landmark for a long time. The space is not very big, but it is enough for the work I do. Being on the first floor is a bit quieter than the ground level, which is nice because the street noise can get quite loud outside. I usually spend my hours here handling different bits of business and meeting with people who drop by. There is always a lot of foot traffic in the building, especially on weekends when the families come out to shop. My desk is usually covered in papers and files, and I have a couple of chairs for visitors. Ghatkopar is a busy suburb, and being in a central place like Satyam makes it convenient for everyone. It is an old-school way of working, face to face, without much of the modern flashiness you see in newer offices. I like the routine of coming here, opening up the shutters, and seeing what the day brings. Most of the other shop owners nearby have become friends over the years. It is a solid, practical place to get things done.
