Pooja Ayurved Bhandar

The shop has been here at Ram Niwas Building on Gokhale Road for a while now. Most people around here just call us the local Ayurved place. We keep a lot of different herbs and powders on the shelves. It gets a bit crowded sometimes when the morning rush starts, but that’s just how it is. We try to keep everything organized, though labels sometimes peel off and boxes get stacked high. My uncle started this place because he knew a lot about traditional roots and leaves. Now we just carry on doing the same thing every day. We open early because that is when the regular customers like to stop by before heading to work. You can find us right on the fifth spot along the road. It’s not a big fancy showroom or anything. Just a regular store with wooden counters and that specific smell of dried herbs that stays in your clothes. Sometimes the traffic outside gets really loud, but inside it's usually just the sound of weighing scales and paper bags being folded. We don't really do big advertisements. People just find us by walking past or hearing about us from their neighbors. If you are looking for something specific for a tea or a paste, we probably have it tucked away somewhere in the back. It takes a minute to find things sometimes because there is so much stuff packed in here. We just like being part of the neighborhood.
