Peches

Our shop, Peches, is located in the 1 C Building which is just off S V Road in Borivali. If you know the area, we are right opposite Mulji Nagar, near Survey No 63. It can be a bit tricky to find if you aren't looking closely because the traffic on S V Road is always moving so fast. We spend most of our mornings just getting the place ready before the first few people wander in. The building is older, but it stays relatively cool inside which is a relief when the sun is really beating down outside. Most of our day is spent folding things and re-hanging items that people have looked at. We usually grab some tea from the stall around the corner twice a day, and that’s when we get to hear all the local gossip from the other shopkeepers. Borivali is always busy, so there is never a quiet moment on the street outside. Sometimes the rain gets quite heavy and we have to make sure the door stays shut tight so the floor doesn't get soaked. It’s just a few of us working here, so we do everything ourselves from cleaning the windows to handling the deliveries. We aren't trying to be anything fancy, just a local business doing its thing every day. Most people who come in live nearby or are just passing through on their way to the station. We like the neighborhood quite a bit and the people here are usually friendly.
