We are located on the 3rd floor of the Sdf-7 building in GJ-16, which is inside the SEEPZ area in Andheri East. Working in a special economic zone like this means a lot of security gates and ID cards. Jewel Art is basically a big workshop where we spend our time on jewelry pieces. It’s not a glamorous showroom. It’s a place with workbenches, bright lights, and small tools scattered everywhere. The floor is usually covered in tiny scraps of metal, and everyone wears those magnifying glasses on their heads. It can get pretty quiet because everyone is concentrating on their own little task. The building itself is a bit of a concrete block, like most things in SEEPZ. We have a small area for coffee and tea, but most people just stay at their benches. We don't really have visitors unless they’re suppliers or inspectors. It’s a lot of repetitive work, but it’s what we know how to do. The air conditioning is always on because the machines generate a bit of heat. We’ve been up here on the 3rd floor for a while now. It’s just a regular job for us. We don't talk much about being artists or anything; we just follow the designs and make sure the stones are set right. When the shift ends, we all pack up and head through the security checks to get to the station. It's just a routine we have been following.
