Patel Furnishers

Our shop, Patel Furnishers, is at Fulchand Niwas on Narsi Nataha Street. It’s right in the Katha Bazar area near Chinch Bunder. You can usually smell the wood and materials when you get close. We’ve been at this spot for quite a while now. It’s not a big modern furniture mall or anything like that. It’s a working shop where things actually get made and handled. We have stuff piled up in corners and sawdust on the floor most days. The street outside is always busy with carts and people. We don’t have a big sales team. Usually, it's just one of us sitting at the desk or helping out in the back. People come to us when they need something specific for their homes or offices. We know most of the neighbors around Chowpatty. The building itself is old, but it’s sturdy and gives us the space we need. We don't do much in the way of catalogs or websites. Most of our work comes from people walking in or hearing about us from someone else in the neighborhood. It’s a simple way of doing business, but it works for us. We just focus on the pieces we are working on today. Sometimes we stay late to finish a job if a customer needs it. It’s just how things go at a local shop like ours. The tea stall nearby keeps us going when things get busy. We enjoy being in this part of town with all its history and noise.
