Patel Enterprise is based in the Lakada Market in Pantnagar, specifically at 301 Old Victoria Road on Sant Savta Marg. Being in the timber market means everything we do is surrounded by wood. There is usually a layer of sawdust on the floor and the smell of fresh timber in the air. We aren't a fancy retail store. Our place at 301 is more like a warehouse where we keep our stock and talk to customers. Old Victoria Road is always full of trucks and people moving planks around, so it gets pretty hectic. We’ve been here at Pantnagar for a long time, and we know most of the other families in the market. It is a tough, physical job, and we don't have a lot of time for sitting around. We don't use any slick marketing or big advertisements. Most people find us because they know we have what they need for their construction projects. Sant Savta Marg is a noisy street, but it’s home for the business. We keep our records in big ledgers and our prices are just written on a chalkboard. It is not a high-tech operation, just a regular timber business. At Patel Enterprise, we just focus on the quality of the wood and making sure people get what they paid for. It’s a simple way of doing business that has worked for us for years now.
