My name is Paresh Damji Gada and I run this small place over at 22 Chhipi Chawl. We’ve been here on Bareja Road for a good while now, right in the middle of Gyasiram Ni Chali. It’s a busy spot most days. Usually, the mornings start early when the tea shops nearby open up their shutters and you can hear the traffic starting to pick up on the road. I spend most of my day right here. It’s not a fancy office or anything like that, just a regular, practical space where I get my work done. Sometimes people drop by just to say hello or ask for directions because the narrow lanes around here can get a bit confusing if you aren’t from around the neighborhood. I’ve lived and worked in this area long enough that the sounds of the street just feel normal to me now. There’s always someone moving something or a delivery truck trying to squeeze through the narrow parts of the road. It gets quite dusty, especially in the dry afternoons, but that’s just how it is in this part of town. I keep a fan running and just focus on what needs to be finished before the sun goes down and the street lights come on. Most of the people around here know me by name. I don't really have a big staff, it's mostly just me handling things as they come. It keeps me busy enough and I like the routine of coming to Chhipi Chawl every day. It’s honest work and it fills my time.
