Down at A/42 in Laghu Udyog Kendra on I.B. Patel Road, things are usually pretty loud. That’s the nature of working with machinery. We deal with the stuff that makes the pharmaceutical industry run, but we’re not scientists in lab coats. We’re more likely to have grease on our hands. The workshop is big and has those high industrial ceilings that echo. We move heavy parts around with a small crane when we have to. It’s not the kind of place where you’d want to wear a nice suit. We’ve been here for a good while, watching the other units in the industrial estate change hands. Our office is just a small partitioned area where we handle the invoices and talk to the guys from the factories. They come in looking for specific parts or wanting to see a machine in action. We don’t do big presentations. We just turn the machine on and show them how it works. If it makes a noise it shouldn't, we fix it right there. It’s a straightforward way to earn a living. The commute to I.B. Patel Road can be a nightmare with the traffic, but once we’re inside the gates, it’s all about the metal and the motors. We don’t pretend to be more than a machinery company. We just do the work that needs doing every day and hope the power stays on.
