Padmavati Tube Traders

Our place is at 22 Nagdevi Street, right on Anant Kanekar Road. If you know this area, you know how crowded it gets with all the trucks and people carrying stuff. We deal with metal tubes and pipes, so the shop is mostly filled with heavy racks. It is a bit dark inside because of how we have to stack the inventory up to the ceiling. There is always a layer of fine metal dust on the desk and we go through a lot of pens writing down orders. The floor is old and has some cracks from dropping heavy pieces over the years. We spend a lot of time on the phone checking what is in stock or talking to the guys at the warehouse. It gets noisy with the traffic outside and the sound of metal clanging when we load things onto the handcarts. We don't have a fancy office, just a small table with some ledgers and a computer that’s a bit slow sometimes. The tea guy comes around twice a day and that is when we usually take a break. It's hard work moving these tubes around but that’s just how it is here on Nagdevi Street. People come to us when they need specific sizes for their projects. We just keep track of the bundles and make sure the measurements are right before anything leaves the shop. It stays busy here until we close up for the day.
