I set up Om Sai Placement Service in Andheri West because I saw so many people struggling to find decent work. We are based in the Atit Shopping Centre, right near Apna Bazar and just off J.P Road. It’s a very busy spot with people constantly walking by. Our office is small, just enough for a few desks and chairs where we can talk to job seekers. We spend our days looking through resumes and talking to different companies who need staff. It’s a lot of phone calls and paperwork, to be honest. We don’t make any big promises, we just try to match someone with a job that fits their skills. Sometimes the office gets crowded with young people looking for their first break. We listen to their stories and try to help where we can. It’s not a high-tech operation; we mostly rely on our lists and the contacts we’ve made over the years. Being in a shopping center makes it easy for people to drop by while they are out doing their errands. The area is always noisy, but we’ve gotten used to it. We don’t have a marketing team or anything like that. Most people hear about us from a friend who found a job through us. It’s rewarding when someone calls back to say they got the position and they are doing well.
