Ocean Blue Boating is based in Lansdowne House, right there in Apollo Bunder near Colaba. We’re on the 4th floor of an old building that has a lot of character, though the elevator can be a bit temperamental sometimes. Being so close to the Gateway of India, we’re right in the heart of the boating scene in Mumbai. Our office is where we handle all the bookings and paperwork for the boats. It’s often a bit cluttered with charts and life jackets that someone brought in for inspection. We spend a lot of our time down at the water, but this is our home base. It’s a busy office, especially on weekends when everyone wants to be out on the harbor. We don't have fancy leather chairs or a polished reception desk. It’s more of a place where we drink a lot of tea and try to coordinate everything over the phone and radio. The views from the windows are nice if you like looking at the old architecture of Colaba. We’ve been here for a while, and we know the local tides and the harbor police pretty well. It’s a hectic job sometimes, trying to manage schedules and weather, but we enjoy being part of the maritime life in South Mumbai. It feels real and grounded despite being in a famous part of the city. We just take each day as it comes and hope for clear skies.
