Nutan Furniture

Nutan Furniture is based out of the Dev Dhara Building on Hazira Road in the Adajan area of Dahisar. We are at number 10. The shop has been here for quite some time now. You can see the furniture from the street because we usually keep the doors open. It smells like wood and polish inside, which I’ve grown to like over the years. We have stuff piled up, sometimes it's a bit of a mess, but we know where everything is. Hazira Road is usually busy with trucks and cars going past. The Dev Dhara Building is easy to spot once you get into the Adajan part of town. We spend our days moving heavy pieces around and talking to people who walk in. It's a lot of physical work. We don’t use computers much, mostly just notebooks for orders. My hands are usually a bit dirty from the materials. We have a small back room where we keep the tools. Sometimes the heat in the afternoon is a bit much, but we have a couple of old fans that help. Neighbors often stop by just to say hello. It's that kind of place. We aren't a big showroom with lights and carpets. It’s just a ground-floor space where we do our thing. We stay open until the sun goes down. If you need something for your house, you just come by and look. We’ll be here working on the next piece of wood or moving things around.
