Nuetech Plastics Allied Industries

Our place, Nuetech Plastics Allied Industries, is out in Goregaon East on Princess Street, over by Sonawala X Road No 2. It’s a busy industrial street where trucks are always coming and going at all hours. The shop itself is a large, open space where we keep all the plastic processing equipment and raw materials. It gets pretty loud once all the machines are turned on in the morning and we start the day's run. We spend a lot of our time checking the quality of the plastic items we’re making and packing them into big cardboard boxes for transport. The floor is usually covered in little bits of plastic scrap that we sweep up at the end of the shift, though it never stays clean for long. It’s a bit of a maze inside because we have so much stock piled up waiting to be shipped out to various places. We don’t have a fancy reception area or anyone to answer phones in a professional way. Usually, whoever is closest to the desk just picks it up and talks. We wear heavy boots and old clothes because it’s a dirty job and you’re likely to get something on your shirt. There’s a small tea stall just down the road where we go when we need a quick break from the heat and noise. We’ve been at this location for a long time, and the building shows its age with some cracks in the walls. We don’t mind it though, because it’s a good spot for what we do.
