Our place is over in Malad East, specifically in the Swapn Nagri Housing Society. If you go behind Baba Bakery, you'll find us at 802. It's a small operation. I usually start the morning by checking the oil levels in the trucks. My brother helps with the scheduling, though he forgets things sometimes. We've lived in this neighborhood forever, so we know everyone around the bakery. People usually find us by word of mouth. We don't do much advertising. The yard gets pretty dusty during the dry season, so there's always cleaning to do. We handle different types of lifting work, mostly for folks nearby who are building something or need a car moved. It's loud work and the equipment takes a lot of looking after. Sometimes the weather makes things difficult, but we usually find a way to make it work. I’ve been doing this since I was a kid, helping my dad with his old rig. Now it’s just us. We don’t have any big corporate goals or anything. We just show up, do the lifting, and go home. It's a living. The housing society is usually quiet except when we're moving the heavy stuff out in the morning. We try to be quick about it so the neighbors don't get too annoyed. We aren't fancy but we get the job done.
