Charang Cranes Pvt. Ltd. is out in the Ambad MIDC area at Plot No. M-49. Being in an industrial zone like this means there is always something going on. We have a good amount of space on our plot, which is necessary when you are dealing with big machinery like cranes. Most of our days are spent checking the engines, cables, and making sure everything is ready for the next job. It is a greasy, loud environment, but we are used to it by now. We have been in the MIDC for a long time and have seen many businesses come and go. We aren't a big corporate company with lots of suits; we are mostly in our work clothes all day. The sun can be pretty brutal out here on the open ground, so we try to do the heavy maintenance in the early morning. We don't really do much in terms of promotion. Most of our work comes from other companies in the industrial area who need something heavy moved. We have a small office on-site for the paperwork, but most of the real action happens out in the yard. It’s a straightforward business where you either have the equipment or you don’t. We just focus on keeping our machines in good shape so they don't break down when someone is counting on them.
