You can find our shop at number 9 on Saki Vihar Road, right in the middle of the Sakinaka chaos. We’re sitting directly opposite the Dominos Pizza and not far from Balaji Studio. It’s a loud spot, with motorcycles and rickshaws zooming past the door at all hours. We run our crane service from here, which can be tricky given how tight the streets get in this part of town. Most of our work involves getting heavy equipment into places where it probably shouldn't fit. We spend a lot of time waiting for the traffic to clear so we can move our rigs out to a job site. The shop is small and usually filled with spare parts, old tires, and chains. There’s always a pot of tea on somewhere and someone talking about a difficult lift they had to do the night before. We don't have a fancy website or a marketing team. Word gets around the neighborhood by people seeing our cranes out on the road. It’s hard work, often done in the middle of the night to avoid the worst of the Sakinaka congestion. We’ve had to learn how to fix our own machines because we can’t afford to have a crane sitting idle for a week. It’s an honest way to make a living, even if it means we go home with sore backs and grease under our fingernails most evenings.
