If you are ever in Mulund West, you might have walked past our shop. We are at Shop No 9 in the Kailash Kunj building on S L Road. It is a small place, but we pack a lot into the space we have. We mostly sell novelties and little things people need for their homes or gifts. It’s one of those shops where you might find something useful that you weren’t even looking for. Reay Road is right nearby too. We’ve been here for a good amount of time. Every morning starts with dusting the shelves and making sure everything looks okay for the day. It gets a bit cramped when new stock arrives, but we find a place for everything eventually. We know most of the people who live in the apartments around here. They come in for a quick bit of shopping or just to see what’s new on the shelves. We don't really do much advertising because people just know we are here. It's a simple life running a shop like this. Sometimes the old fan makes a bit of noise, but it keeps us cool enough. We keep the shop open until late in the evening because that’s when most people are out for a walk. We aren't trying to be the biggest store, just a reliable one for the neighbors. It's just me and a helper. We take things as they come and enjoy the daily chats.
