Nimbus Plast

Our place is Nimbus Plast, located in Goregaon West along Masrani Lane near Halav Pool. We’re in unit 305. It’s a bit of an industrial pocket where people are making things all day. We work with plastics, which is a lot more complicated than it sounds once you get into the different types and how they are shaped. The machines can be noisy, and it gets pretty warm in the unit during the summer months. You can often smell the faint scent of melting plastic in the air when we are busy. We’ve been in this spot for a while, and we’ve seen the neighborhood change quite a bit. There’s always trucks and small tempos coming and going in the lane, so it can be a bit of a squeeze to get out sometimes. We don’t have a front desk or a receptionist. Usually, one of us just wipes our hands and comes to the door if someone knocks. We spend most of the time on the floor or checking the stock levels. It’s just regular work, nothing too special about it. We make things, we pack them, and they get sent out to where they need to go. We know the other guys in the units nearby and we all just get on with our jobs. Goregaon is a busy place to be, but being in this lane keeps us away from the worst of the main road traffic. We usually have our lunch together in the small space near the window.
