Nice Mobiles

Out in Jogeshwari West on SVP Road, at number 1, is where Nice Mobiles is located. It is a small place but we manage to fit a lot into it. We spend our days surrounded by mobile phones, some brand new and many that have seen much better days. People come in with all sorts of problems, like phones that went for a swim in the sink or buttons that don't click anymore. We have a small workbench where we do most of the small repairs under a bright lamp. It is tedious work sometimes, dealing with those tiny screws that you can barely see, but it is what we do. The area outside is always loud with the sound of rickshaws and people going about their business. We get a lot of students coming in looking for cheap covers or screen protectors because they are on a budget. We don't put on any acts here; we just tell people what can be fixed and what is probably a lost cause. The shop has a bit of a worn-in feel, with marks on the counter and posters that have been up for years. We aren't looking to be the fanciest shop in Mumbai. We just want to make sure the people who come to us leave with a phone that actually works again.
