It gets really busy around Masjid Bunder West almost every single day. Our shop is at number 60 in Akbar Chambers, right across from the main station area and next to the HDFC Bank branch. If you know the neighborhood, you know how crowded Raikar Nagar gets with all the people and deliveries. We have been here for a long while now. Mostly we deal with cupboards, chairs, and all sorts of wooden things people need for their houses or small offices. It is a bit of a tight squeeze in the shop sometimes because there is a lot of stock piled up from floor to ceiling. You might actually walk right past the entrance if you aren't looking for the bank next door. We just open up early in the morning, dust off the tables, and wait for customers to come by. Usually, it is local people who live nearby or someone who has heard about us from a neighbor. The tea stall just down the way is where we spend most of our breaks when things are quiet. Sometimes the traffic outside is so loud you can’t even hear yourself talk, but that is just how it is in this part of town. We don't have a big fancy showroom with bright lights and glass doors. It is just a regular shop where we keep things simple and practical. If someone wants a specific size of sofa or a bed, we try to see what can be done. It is hard work moving the heavy pieces around. We just keep going every day.
