New Shalimar Cane Art

Our little place is called New Shalimar Cane Art and we are located at 37 Goregaon East. It is very close to the flyover bridge, so you can usually hear the cars passing overhead while we are working. Working with cane is a messy job and there is always some dust or bits of wood on the floor. We are not a large factory, just a small shop where we do things by hand. The space gets quite crowded when we have several projects going on at the same time. We have been in Goregaon East for a good bit now and we like the area even with all the noise. People usually find us because they are passing by the bridge and see what we are making outside. We do not have a sales team or anything like that. If you come by, you will likely talk to one of us who is actually doing the work. It is practical, hands-on stuff and we enjoy the process of making things from scratch. Some days we stay late to finish a piece because cane can be tricky to work with. We do not have a fancy showroom. We just have our tools and our materials. It is a real working environment. We just try to do a decent job every day and keep the shop running as best as we can. It is what we know how to do.
