We are based out of Kanjurmarg East, specifically in the Joseph D'Melo Chawl area over in Shastri Nagar. It’s a very busy part of Mumbai where everyone always seems to be on the move. Netafim Irrigation has been operating from this exact spot for some time now. It’s certainly not a high-rise office building with elevators, but it works perfectly for what we need. Being in 1/2 Joseph D'Melo Chawl means we are right in the heart of the local community. People often drop by just because they happen to be passing through the neighborhood. The lanes are narrow, and it gets quite loud during the day with all the local traffic and the small shops nearby. We don't spend a lot of time on fancy decorations or making things look perfect for social media photos. The focus is usually just on getting the equipment and the irrigation plans sorted out for the day ahead. Kanjurmarg has grown so much lately, but this little pocket still feels very much like the old Mumbai I remember. It’s a practical location for reaching different parts of the city quickly when we need to go out. Our staff is mostly local folks who know every corner of the area inside out. We deal with the usual city problems like heavy rain and traffic jams, but we just keep going. It’s a grounded way of working without any pretension. There is no corporate ladder here; we just do our jobs and go home to our families.
