Neon Prints

Working in Crawford Market is like being in the middle of a beehive. Neon Prints is right here in the thick of it. If you’ve ever been to this part of the city, you know how loud and packed it gets. We don't have a big, sprawling office; space is hard to come by in this area. We’ve crammed our printing machines into our spot and we make it work. Every morning starts with the sound of shutters opening all around us and the smell of the market. We do a lot of print jobs for the traders nearby. Since the market is so old, the walls in our place have a bit of character, or maybe they just need a new coat of paint. We don’t mind. We are too busy keeping up with the orders that come in. It’s a lot of manual work, carrying stacks of paper through the crowded walkways. Sometimes it feels like we are part of the history of the place, even if we are just doing modern printing. We don't have a fancy website or a marketing person. Most people just find us because they are already in the market for something else. It's a bit dusty and the fans are always on high speed to keep the machines cool. We just keep our heads down and get the ink on the paper. That’s the life of a small business in the heart of Mumbai.
