Neelam Communications

Neelam Communications sits right in the middle of the GIDC Industrial Estate in Malad East, specifically at unit 7. If you know the area, you know it’s mostly just factories and warehouses everywhere you look. It’s a bit of a walk from the main road, and the trucks parked along the side make the lanes feel even narrower than they are. We’ve been operating out of this space for quite a while now. The walls are a bit stained from the monsoon rain, and the floor is just plain concrete. We don't really have a front desk or anything fancy for visitors. Usually, one of us is just sitting at the back working on something while the radio plays in the background. It gets very loud in the afternoons when the bigger machines in the neighboring units start up. We mostly deal with people from other businesses in the estate. There isn't much foot traffic from regular folks here. We carry a lot of different things, and sometimes the inventory gets a bit jumbled up on the shelves, but we know where everything is. It’s a practical place to work, even if it gets a bit stuffy during the summer months. We don't spend much time worrying about how the shop looks to outsiders because we are usually too busy just keeping up with the day's tasks. It’s a bit of a grind, but it is what we know.
