Navyug Furniture

We are situated at 320 Chuna Bhatti, right on the 8th Cross along Lalbagh Road. The shop is usually filled with the scent of cut wood and varnish. It’s a small space for all the furniture we have, so you have to be careful not to bump into any table legs or wardrobe corners when you walk through. We spend our days assembling pieces, fixing old chairs, and talking to folks who are looking to fill up their new apartments. It’s a bit of a maze inside with all the sofas and beds we have squeezed in. Lalbagh Road is always packed with people and cars, so there’s a constant drone of noise coming from outside. Sometimes we just leave the front doors open to get a bit of a breeze, even if it brings in some of the street dust. We aren't a big chain store with catalogs and uniforms. It’s just us in our work clothes, usually with a pencil tucked behind an ear and some glue on our fingers. People come to us because we’ve been here a while and they know we don't try to sell them things they don't need. We just show them what’s available and tell them if it’s sturdy enough for what they want. It’s a bit cramped and the lighting isn't the best, but we know every piece of wood in the place. It’s a decent way to spend the day.
