National Plastic Emporium

If you find yourself in Dadar West, you might see us at National Plastic Emporium. Dadar is one of those places that never really sleeps, and being near the station means there is a constant stream of people passing by our door. Our shop is full of almost anything you can imagine made of plastic. We have stacks of colorful buckets, containers for the kitchen, chairs, and even those little stools people use in their bathrooms. It’s a bit of a maze inside because we try to stock as much as possible for the folks who live nearby. Sometimes the stacks of bins go all the way to the ceiling. We spend our days helping people find the right size of tub or a lid that actually fits. It’s a lot of rearranging things to get to the back of the shelf. The floor is usually covered in some bit of plastic wrapping or labels. We don’t have a website or anything like that; we just open the shop and talk to the people who walk in. Some are looking for a bargain and others just need a sturdy trash can. We’ve seen a lot of regulars come through over the years, and we usually know what they are looking for before they even ask. It’s a simple business in a busy part of town. We just sell things that people need for their homes every day. It’s noisy and crowded, but it’s our little corner of Dadar.
