Nakshathra Mobile Shop

If you are walking down 80 Feet Road in Andheri West, you might see Nakshathra Mobile Shop at Shop Number 9. It is a small place, but we fit a lot into it. We have glass cases filled with all kinds of phones and accessories, mostly chargers and covers that people are always looking for. The shop gets a lot of foot traffic because of the location. People come in with cracked screens or phones that just won't turn on anymore. We spend most of our day hunched over small workbenches with tiny screwdrivers. It can be a bit frustrating when a part doesn't fit right or we can't figure out why a motherboard is acting up. The light from the street shines in through the front glass, but we usually have the overhead lights on full blast so we can see what we're doing. It’s not a quiet shop; there is usually music playing or someone’s phone is ringing. We have a few stools for customers, but they’re mostly used for holding our bags or spare parts. Sometimes we get people coming in just to ask for directions because 80 Feet Road is so long and confusing for some. We don’t mind. It’s just part of being in a busy neighborhood. We try to keep things simple and just fix what needs fixing. That is pretty much what our day looks like here in Andheri.
