Mythic Furniture Pvt Ltd is set up over in Bhandup West. You can find us right near the Container Yard, just opposite Natraj Towers. It is a bit of a dusty place because of all the wood we handle daily. The guys are usually busy cutting, sanding, or moving heavy pieces around the workshop. We have been in this spot for some time and it suits us well enough. There’s always a lot of noise from the saws and the smell of varnish can be quite strong depending on the day. Being near the container yard means there is a lot of movement around our building all the time. Sometimes it is hard to find a place to park, but that’s just Bhandup for you. We don't have a big shiny showroom with lights, it’s mostly just where the work actually happens. We focus on getting the joints right and making sure things are sturdy enough to last. It’s a lot of physical labor, and by the end of the shift, everyone is pretty tired. We just keep our heads down and finish whatever piece is on the bench. Sometimes a design takes longer than we thought, so we stay back late to finish it. It isn't a glamorous life, but we like working with our hands. It feels good to see a finished table or chair ready to go. We just keep the sawdust moving and the tools sharp every day.
