Mohammed Irfan

My name is Mohammed Irfan and I run things from 105-107 Mohamed Ali Road. Being in Dadani House means there is always a crowd right outside the door. This part of the city never really goes quiet. I have been in this building for years, and most of the people nearby know me by face. It is a tight space, packed with whatever we are dealing with that week. Sometimes it is hard to find a place to even sit down when the stock comes in. I spend a lot of my time on the phone or talking to people who walk in off the street. Mohamed Ali Road is famous for many things, but for me, it is just where I work every single day. The building is old, with narrow stairs and a lot of history in the walls. I try to keep things organized, but it is a struggle when the business gets fast. Usually, the afternoon is the busiest time. I don't really have a big staff, just me and a couple of others helping out. We do what needs to be done. It is honest work and it keeps the lights on. If you come by Dadani House, you will see how we operate—lots of movement, lots of talking, and a bit of chaos that somehow works out in the end. It is just how life is in this part of town.
