Mobile Point

Mobile Point is located in the Sadashiv Peth area of Mumbai. It’s an old part of the city with a lot of character. The buildings are close together and the lanes are thin. Our shop fits right into that. We have been here for years. I remember when phones didn't even have cameras. Now everything is different but the way we work is mostly the same. I sit at my desk with my magnifying glass and my soldering iron. It’s quiet work in a noisy neighborhood. We get people from all over the Peth coming in. Sometimes they bring in phones that have fallen in water. Those are the hardest to fix. I don't always succeed but I try my best. The shop smells a bit like solder and old electronics. We have boxes of cables and old chargers that we keep just in case. You never know when someone will come in with a ten-year-old device. My wife brings me tiffin in the afternoon and we eat in the back. It's a simple life. We don't have a fancy marketing plan. We just open the shop every morning and wait for the first customer. Most people know me by name. That’s the nice thing about being in a place like Sadashiv Peth. It feels like a small village inside a giant city. We don't have a big sign out front, but if you ask anyone near the temple, they will point you to my door.
