MK Novelty

Our shop is MK Novelty and we are found in the Fort area at A 11. If you know Fort, you know the buildings are very old and have a specific look. We sell a lot of small items like pens, notebooks, gift articles, and little things for the house. The shop is filled from the floor to the ceiling with stock. You have to walk carefully so you do not hit any of the displays. Because we are in Fort, we get many office workers who stop by during their lunch break to buy a small gift or something they need for their desk. It is a fast area, but our shop feels a bit slower and older. We do not use any complicated computer systems to track what we have. We just know what is on the shelves by looking. Sometimes we even find items we forgot we had in the back. It is a bit of a maze inside. We have been here for many years and have seen the streets change quite a bit. But we just keep doing our daily routine. We open the shop in the morning and sweep the dusty floor. We do not do any big sales or promotions. We just sell things at a normal price and talk to the people who have been coming to us for years. It is a simple way to stay connected to the city. (253 words)
