Millenium Plastics

Millenium Plastics is out in Kandivali West, specifically in Adarsh Nagar. Our place is actually a godown, number one, right near the New Link Road. It is a big, open space with a very high tin roof that gets quite loud when it rains. We have rows and rows of shelves that are packed with plastic goods of all kinds. Most of the day is spent moving things around. We use those hand carts to shift the heavy boxes from the back to the front. There is a lot of tape and cardboard everywhere. The light comes in through the big front door which we keep open most of the time. It is dusty because of all the trucks passing by on the main road. We have a small corner with a table and a couple of chairs where we do the paperwork and drink our tea. It is not very fancy, just some concrete walls and a lot of stock. Sarju Prasad Mat is the landmark people usually look for when they are trying to find us. The Link Road is always busy, so there is a constant sound of traffic in the background. We have to be careful about how we stack things so nothing falls over. It is a lot of physical work, lifting and carrying and checking the labels on the crates. We just keep track of what comes in and what goes out every day. It is just us and the inventory.
