Meru Treks & Tours

We are based in Mahim on L J Road, specifically at 192/1. It’s a pretty lively area and our office is right in the thick of it. We specialize more in trekking and outdoor trips, though we do regular travel stuff too. A lot of the gear we use for the treks is kept in the back, so the place sometimes smells a bit like old tents and canvas. It’s just how it is when you’re dealing with the mountains and the outdoors. We aren't some big polished travel company with a glass building. We’re just a small group of people who actually like going on these trips ourselves. When we aren't out on a trail, we’re here at the desk answering emails and trying to get the permits sorted. It’s a lot of paperwork, honestly. Dealing with the forest departments and the local authorities takes a lot of time. We try to tell people exactly what to expect so they don’t bring the wrong shoes or get surprised by the cold. We’ve had some people coming back to us for years because they know we won’t give them any nonsense. The traffic on L J Road can be a nightmare in the evenings, but once you get inside the office, it’s mostly just us talking about the next big climb. We like it here in Mahim and hope to stay a while.
