Mehta Collections

We are Mehta Collections, located over in the Tardeo area near Brooke Field. It is a nice part of town, and we have a steady flow of people coming by most days. Our shop is mostly about clothes and various fabrics. We have stacks of different materials and ready-made items all over the place. It’s a lot of color when you walk in the door. We spend most of the day helping people find the right size or picking out a fabric that feels good to them. It is a very hands-on kind of job. You really have to touch the cloth to know if it is the right one for you. We don’t have a big corporate setup, just a local shop where we try to keep things simple and honest. Sometimes it gets a bit crowded when we have a new delivery of stock arrive. We have to move things around to make enough room to walk. The afternoon sun hits the front window, so we have to be careful about where we put the more delicate items so they don't fade. Tardeo is a place with a lot of history, and we feel like we fit right in here. We know the other shop owners around Brooke Field. We often grab tea together in the afternoon when things quiet down. It is a friendly atmosphere. We don’t do much advertising, mostly it is just people walking by. It has been that way for a long time.
