Mayur Trading Company

Our place is Gala No 3 at the Rajkotwala building, which is part of the Baijnath Tiwari Industrial estate in Goregaon West. Mayur Trading Company is really just an industrial unit where we handle various goods and trading tasks. The walls are high and the ceiling is made of corrugated sheets, so you can really hear the rain when it pours down. Most of the floor space is taken up by crates and heavy pallets that we move around using a small trolley. It is a bit of a rugged environment with the smell of grease and metal in the air from the other units nearby. We spend our mornings checking the manifest and making sure the loading is done correctly. There is a small cabin in the corner where we keep the desk and the files, but we are usually out on the floor. It’s a busy part of Goregaon, and there are always trucks backing into the lane to drop off or pick up stuff. We have a couple of guys who help with the heavy lifting, and we’ve all been working together for a long time. It’s not a place where customers come to browse; it’s more about getting the logistics right and keeping the trade moving. We take our lunch breaks together on the loading dock when it’s not too hot. It’s hard work, but it’s what we know how to do.
