Our office is at 120 Marine Lines in the Keshav Baug Building, right near Rr Sheth & Co. It is an old building with a lot of character and very high ceilings. We work as traders, which means we spend a lot of our time on the telephone and looking over long lists of stock. The rooms are filled with old wooden cabinets and piles of files that have been there for years. Marine Lines is a very traditional part of the city, and you can often hear the sound of the local trains passing by if the windows are open. We have been in this location for a long time and we know the neighborhood very well. The stairs in the building are steep and made of stone, and they have been worn down by many years of people walking up and down. We don't have a large staff, just a few people who handle the accounts and the shipping details. We usually get our tea from the same stall downstairs every single day at four o'clock. It is a simple routine that we enjoy. Most of our business comes from long-term relationships we have built in the market. We don't go out looking for attention. We just focus on getting the goods delivered to our clients on time. The building gets a bit damp when it rains, but we make sure all the paperwork stays dry and organized.
