Maxcom Sales And Service Centre is located at Fort 16/17, right in the heart of the old business district. The building has that classic Fort architecture, which means thick walls but also some weird corners in the shop. We’ve set up our service benches where the light is best. It’s a professional environment but without the stiff suits. Most of the time, the air is filled with the smell of solder or the sound of someone testing a speaker. We handle sales too, so there are always new boxes arriving and old ones being cleared out. It can get a bit messy during the mid-day rush when everyone from the nearby offices drops off their gadgets. We don’t have a fancy waiting room, just a few chairs that have seen better days. But people don't seem to mind as long as we get their stuff working again. Working in Fort is interesting because of the history around us, though we spend most of our time staring at circuit boards. The staff here is small, just a few of us who know the technical side of things inside out. We don't use scripts or corporate talk when you call us. We just tell you what's wrong and how long it'll take to fix. It’s a straightforward operation. We focus on the work on the bench and the person standing in front of us.
