Mauli Electronics

Mauli Electronics is right on Goregaon East Govindapura Main Road 22. It is a long name for a street, but that’s where we are. The shop is small and full of wires and parts. You can smell the metal and the plastic when you walk in. It’s not a clean smell, but it’s what we work with every day. Number 22 is a busy building. There’s always someone coming in or going out. We spend most of our time hunched over a workbench. My back hurts by the end of the day, but that’s just how it goes. We’ve been in Goregaon East for a long time. The traffic on Govindapura Main Road is loud, so we usually have to shout a bit to hear each other. We don't have any fancy uniforms. We just wear what’s comfortable and doesn't mind a bit of grease or dirt. Some of the equipment we use is pretty old, but it still works fine. We don't see a reason to change things if they aren't broken. People stop by Mauli Electronics mostly because they know we are here at number 22. We don't do much advertising or anything like that. We just open the shutters in the morning and close them at night. It’s a basic way to live, but it keeps us busy and we like it.
