Our factory for Masani Polymers Pvt Ltd is located in Goregaon East at number 252, inside the Guru Gobind Singh Industrial estate. It’s a big area with lots of similar buildings, so people sometimes get lost trying to find us. We work with different types of plastics and polymers here. It’s a noisy place because the machines are running most of the day. There is always a smell of heating plastic in the air, which you get used to after a week or two. We have a small office upstairs where we keep the files and handle the orders. It’s mostly full of old catalogs and samples. The workers have been with us for a long time, so we all know how the machines like to act up. We don't have a polished showroom. If a customer wants to see what we do, they just come onto the floor and look at the actual production. It’s dusty and there are scraps of material on the ground, but that’s just how manufacturing is. We spend a lot of time on the phone with suppliers, trying to make sure the raw materials get here on time. The traffic in Goregaon is usually bad, so deliveries are always a headache. We just keep our heads down and get the orders out as fast as we can. There isn't much glory in it, but we have been doing it for years now. The metal roof gets very hot in the summer, making the whole place feel like an oven.
