If you look for us in Borivali East, you'll find us in a bit of a crowded area. We work out of a small space, Room No. 9, in the Champabai Namdev Kadam Chawl. It’s on Raidongari Carter Road No. 5. It’s a very local Mumbai setting. We spend our days dealing with production tasks and technical work. It’s a lot of shift work, coming in early or staying very late. The commute in Mumbai is always a struggle, but we are used to it by now. The room isn't huge, but we have what we need to get the job done. It’s a practical environment. There aren't any decorations on the walls, just calendars and some charts for the production schedules. We focus on the electronics and circuits, making sure every part is where it should be. It’s repetitive work, but it requires a steady hand. Most of us have been doing this for quite some time. We don't have a big corporate lobby or a receptionist. You just come to the door and we are right there working. The neighborhood is lively, with people always coming and going. Sometimes it’s hard to find parking near the chawl, so we mostly walk from the station. We just keep our heads down and do the technical stuff. It's not a fancy job, but it's what we know how to do well. We take our breaks together and talk about the day's work before heading home on the train.
