Gem Components

Our spot is tucked away at A- 21 in the Ansa Industrial Estate, right on Saki-Vihar Road. If you know Saki Naka in Andheri East, you know the traffic is something you just have to live with. Gem Components has been operating from this estate for quite a while. The entrance to the estate is always busy with trucks and tempos trying to squeeze past each other. Our unit is a bit deep inside, which is actually nice because it stays a little quieter than the main road. The walls are painted a simple off-white that’s probably seen better days, and the floor is hard concrete to handle the weight of the components we move around. It gets pretty hot in Andheri East, and the ceiling fans in our unit stay spinning all day long. There’s a lot of metal-on-metal noise from the neighboring workshops, which we’ve stopped noticing after all these years. It’s an honest, gritty place to work. We don’t have a big marketing team or a shiny showroom. It’s just us, some tools, and the parts we handle. Most of our day is spent coordinating with people over the phone or checking the quality of the items in our bins. It’s the kind of place where you don't mind getting your hands a little dirty. We are just one of many small businesses in this big industrial maze.
