Components House

Lamington Road is always a chaotic place to be, and our shop is right in the thick of it at the Old Hanuman Building. We are at Shop No. 18, just down the lane from Shamrao Vithal Bank. If you have ever been to Chunam Lane, you know how crowded it gets with people looking for electronic parts. Components House is a small space filled from floor to ceiling with tiny drawers and plastic bins. We keep thousands of different capacitors, resistors, and small chips that are hard to find anywhere else. Sometimes the light in the back of the shop flickers, and we keep saying we will fix it, but we always get busy with a customer first. We do not have a website or a marketing department. We just have our knowledge of which part fits which circuit board. The noise from the street outside never really stops, with horns honking and people shouting all day long. We drink a lot of tea to stay focused while counting out small parts for students or repairmen who stop by. It is a messy, busy, and cramped way to work, but it is what we know. We have been in this building for years and we know all the other shopkeepers on the block. It feels like a small community despite all the madness of the city. We just keep our heads down and count the components for whoever walks through the door.
