Elcot International

You can find us at Elcot International on the first floor of Unique House. We are in units 112 and 113. Unique House is one of those buildings that has been around for a long time, and you can tell by the hallways. We do international trading, so there is always a lot of talk about shipping containers, customs forms, and exchange rates. It sounds more exciting than it is. Mostly, it is just a lot of typing and being on the phone with people in different time zones. Our office is full of files and old coffee mugs. We aren't trying to impress anyone with a fancy lobby. We just focus on getting the goods from one country to another without getting stuck in port. Sometimes the paperwork is a nightmare, especially when laws change, but we’ve been doing this long enough to handle it. We have a small staff that knows the ropes. We don't have a big marketing budget or a polished website. Most of our clients have been with us for years because they know we will tell them the truth about how long a shipment will take. It’s a lot of routine work punctuated by the occasional panic when a ship is delayed. We just take it one day at a time and try to keep the desk from getting too buried in papers. It’s just us doing our part.
