Manufacturing Plant

We’ve been here at Goregaon College Road 257/9 for a while now. The Manufacturing Plant isn’t a fancy place, just a regular shop floor with high ceilings and a lot of machines running most of the day. You can hear the hum from the street if the wind blows the right way. Most mornings, the crew gets in early, gets the tea going, and starts the shift before the sun gets too hot. Goregaon is always busy, so getting the trucks in and out of the 257/9 gate takes some doing sometimes. We have a small office tucked in the corner where the paperwork sits in piles. It gets a bit dusty because of all the work going on outside the door. People stop by asking for directions since we are right on the College Road stretch. The floor is concrete and has some cracks that have been there since I started. We don’t mind the noise much anymore; it’s just part of the day. Sometimes the power flickers when the monsoon rain hits hard, but we just wait it out and get back to it. It’s a solid place to work, even if it’s not the quietest spot in the neighborhood. We mostly just keep our heads down and handle the orders as they come in. There isn't much to the décor, just some old calendars on the walls and the smell of metal and oil everywhere you go.
