We've been here at Unit No. 5 in Chimat Pada for quite a while now. If you know Marol Naka, you know how busy it gets around here. Our shop isn't anything fancy to look at, just a regular place where we get the work done every day. Most mornings start with opening up the shutters and checking what orders are pending from the day before. The machines we use are loud, but that is just part of the job in Andheri East. Sometimes the traffic outside makes it hard for deliveries to reach us on time, yet we manage somehow. It is a bit cramped inside with all the tools and metal scraps lying around, but we know where everything is. My father started this and now we just keep it going as best as we can. We don't spend money on big signs or bright lights because the people who need engineering work usually find us through word of mouth anyway. The tea guy comes by twice a day, and those are the only times we really stop for a bit. It gets hot in the afternoons under the tin roof, but you get used to it after a few years. We aren't trying to be the biggest company in Mumbai, just a steady place that people can rely on when they need something fixed or made. It’s just us here, working through the pile of jobs on the desk.
