Major Singh

Major Singh is situated near the Carnac Bridge in Mahadev Nagar. The location is very industrial and busy because we are right by the bus stop and the Indian Naval Ship Maintenance area. There is always a lot of heavy machinery moving around and the sound of big engines is just part of the background here. It is a dusty area because of all the construction and the traffic coming off the bridge. We have a basic setup that fits the grit of the neighborhood. People are always standing around the bus stop, so there is a constant stream of faces passing by our front. It is not the kind of place where you come for peace and quiet. We handle our business amidst the noise of the naval yard and the commuters. The office is small and filled with the tools and papers we need for our daily work. Major Singh has been a known name in this part of Mahadev Nagar for quite some time. We don't bother with fancy signs or trying to look like a big corporation. The walls are a bit stained from the city air and the floor is just plain concrete. It is a place for hard work and getting things done. We usually start early in the morning before the bridge gets too jammed with trucks. By the time the sun goes down, we are just finishing up the last of the day's chores.
